The first anime I ever saw: Ginga Nagareboshi Gin. It was originally a 18 volumes long manga (1984) which later was turned into 26 part anime (1989). I saw the anime when I was under 5 or so. After that "Silver Fang", as it is translated, became very popular in Finland. Last year when the dvd box set came out, it became popular again. Now adults, who were young when they saw the series, wanted to buy it as well as kids.
So this piece of art is a kind of tribute to series and features the head character, Gin (Silver Fang / Hopeanuoli). Gin is a little akita with silver tiger fur. He is very determinated and wants to take revenge on his father's death. Again, I used inkers and added gray areas with computer. All work took me about 4 hours and I'm very pleased how it came out.
I need money to buy that box set. I don't want to watch it on video anymore, I want the uncut version.

Oh the nostalgy...
I'm one of those who were hysteric little Hopeanuoli fans as a little kid.
God, I loved the japanese dub so much...
Great picture, I could have sworn it was from the manga. Beautiful raster use, and the style of GNG is well rendered.

share your kindness, not your hate.
love the art, before yourself.
meditate on this.
Hopefully I get enough money so I can buy myself either the dvd set or the mangas. What a hard decision!
